A new collection is arriving

Notes from a winter sourcing trip between Tokyo and Seoul

This year’s first sourcing trip took me between Tokyo and Seoul. One city I know deeply, the other entirely new to me.

Sourcing trips are often shaped by expectation. The search for the right pieces can dictate how you move through a place. This time, I let go of that urgency and allowed the trip to unfold more slowly.

I wandered through lightly snowing streets, following small instincts and turning into places I might have otherwise passed by.

In Seoul, I stepped into a shop run by an older couple, filled with bronze vessels and time-worn scrolls that felt untouched by time. In Tokyo, I met a vendor specializing in ceremonial Peruvian objects and realized I had actually followed his work for years without knowing it.

Moments that felt like returning, not discovering.

This collection is comprised of objects chosen for their presence - powerful yet understated pieces that feel as though they’ve always been there.

Arriving next Thursday.
