Wall decor that feels more you

The more niche, the better

Lately, I’ve been inspired by spaces that showcase unexpected objects on the wall — things like fabrics, trinkets, or even pieces of clothing. There’s something relaxed and dimensional about it, and it brings a sense of personality that feels more lived-in.

Romeo Okwara’s lakeside home.

I love starting with unique, personal pieces. I’m especially drawn to natural materials and warm tones, which is why this old ledger and slingshot really speak to me.

When decorating your own space, I always think the more personal and specific to you, the better.

Another one of my favorite decor pieces are sconces, specifically for candles.

There are so many stylistic directions you can go with sconces. I usually lean toward rustic, worn-in ones — but I find that because of the warmth of the candlelight, even more modern styles feel approachable and soft.

Of course, you also need some art. I find it so charming when art is put up in unexpected places.

Here are a few from the first collection that are still available.

I hope some of these ideas & pieces spark inspiration to add more personality to your space.

Let me know if you use any of these tips for your home — I’d love to see!

Until next time,

Ellie
